NSA 25I Replacement: The USA-25 Ice Maker Filter

The NSA 25I inline filter was a common way to filter the water going to refrigerators and ice makers. It has been discontinued, so if yours needs replacing, the made-in-USA USA-25 Ice Maker and Appliance Water Filter is our replacement.

How the USA-25 compares

  • 5-stage filtration and purification with bacteriostatic GAC/KDF media
  • 3,000-gallon capacity
  • Bacteria protection for 36 months
  • Improves taste and color and eliminates odors for cleaner ice and better-tasting water
  • Installs in-line, directly on the water line to your appliance
  • Quick connect fittings (compression fittings also available) and a mounting bracket included
  • Made in the U.S.A. with a 60-day full replacement and 1-year pro-rata warranty

Where does an inline filter go?

An inline filter sits on the small water line that feeds your refrigerator, ice maker, or other appliance. Because it filters the water before it reaches the appliance, it works with almost any fridge or ice maker that has a water line, even if the appliance doesn't have its own filter slot.

How to install the USA-25

  1. Turn off the water supply to your refrigerator or ice maker.
  2. Choose a spot on the water line you can reach later, such as behind the fridge or under the sink, and cut the line there.
  3. Push each end of the line into the filter's quick connect fittings, following the flow arrow on the filter.
  4. Mount the filter with the included bracket, turn the water back on, and check for leaks.
  5. Run water through the dispenser for a few minutes and throw away the first batch of ice.

When to replace it

Replace the USA-25 after 3,000 gallons. If your ice starts to look cloudy or your water tastes off, it's time for a new filter.
